A wild NFL free agency period moves into its second day, which is also its first real day. Teams were able to start speaking to players and getting verbal agreements during the league’s legal tampering period on Monday, with the biggest names effectively off the market before free agency actually begins. Keep track of every NFL free agent signing here, plus check out our grades on the biggest deals.

Now we move into the first real day of free agency, and there are still great players — but perhaps guys who conjured a few more questions than those who agreed to deals.

Trey Hendrickson is the biggest name on the list. The former Bengals’ pass rusher is looking to get paid among the league’s best, with Adam Schefter reporting that nobody has met Hendrickson’s asking price. The problem for the defensive end is twofold: He’s coming off an injury-shortened 2025 season, and the league is moving decidedly younger. Players in their prime are getting the league-topping deals, putting the 31-year-old in a spot where teams are hesitant to commit to a guy who could be in his decline at any moment.

One player who isn’t on this list, but would be No. 1 is former Cardinals QB Kyler Murray. Right now Murray is not technically a free agent until the team releases him, and according to reports Murray’s camp isn’t discussing his future with anyone until his status is certain.

Here are the 25 best remaining free agents who are available right now.
